Shenzhen....


We suffered a heat wave in Shenzhen with temperatures set to rise to 34 degrees Celsius or more this weekend. Everyone is running for their life to go under a shelter. According to the local guide, the highest temperature ever recorded in the city's history was 38 degrees Celsius.
Shenzhen has been declared as "Special Economic Zone" by the China Government & there are a total of at least 300,000 private buildings in the special economic zone, which have seriously affected a series of social problems such as traffic jams and environmental pollution. Surprisingly, Shenzhen has a big changes since my last visit one year ago. Shenzhen has turn into a big city now!!

It is no wonder that Dongmen Pedestrian Shopping Street is the No.1 shopping center of Shenzhen. Various kinds of shops, restaurants and cinemas are open here.. crowded & happening... bargains & bargains....

小肥羊火锅连锁店.....

This is not the first time since i last met my local tour guide 黄勇.. here in Shenzhen 2years ago. Not much changes from him but meeting an old friend as a companion in a foreign country again, we have plenty of stories to share with each other.. hence, during off work hours, he invited me to this very famous steamboat franchise store which they have more than 10 franchise outlets in Shenzhen + a number of variety choices on their soup served. We've chosen a herbal soup - 滋补清汤锅底.... i can't describe & put it in words how delicious it was... but be prepared for the long queue + the price was not cheap either.... Anyway, i know i vow to return again for this tasteful gourmet.
